Let’s not waste time beating around the bush, let’s look deeper into the Bible and try to discover how much of it is presented as experiences, take a look at the Sermon on the Mount for only one example.
1Now when he saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, 2and he began to teach them saying:
3"Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
5Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth.
6Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
7Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
8Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
9Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
10Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
So here we have Matthew telling the world about the sermon on the mount, so how did he gain knowledge of this taking place and the content of it, was he there when it took place; if so then he must have had the experience of it so that he could tell of it, and even if someone else told him of it then this other person must have experienced it also. Get my drift, need I say more and include just about everything in the bible by QUOTEING all of it or most of it. Everything written in the Good book is an experience of some greater magnitude and was written into the bible claimed by would be, churchmen/politicians, the authors, the editors the writers, the proof readers and who else, oh yes the publishers, to have been sent by the directive of your God. What is all of this but having been gained by experiences of some kind?
Therefore I commit myself yet again and declare experiences and the passing on of the word by whomever from, to whomever, and so on must have had the experience of reading the Bible which is also an experience and then is preached to the people of the religion. If anyone claims they do not believe in experiences and only Gods written word then maybe someone dictated the whole bible to them so that they could be a preacher. But hello, teaching it or having been taught it by a preacher. Is this or are these not experiences. Before anyone else accuses me of working with spirits then just remember God is Spirit. Not a spirit but a collective of such.
